Positive Relationships and Partnerships
Impact Student Attendance

The city, the school district, and supporting partners. These elements are the heart of a connected community. I was reminded of how special and connected a community Barberton is during our recent new educator orientation.
Over two days, 11 new educators were welcomed into the Barberton City Schools family and to the community of Barberton. These new educators were able to hear from community leaders such as Mayor William Judge and Josh Gordon, Executive Director of the Barberton Community Foundation. In addition, the new educators were taken on a tour of Barberton that featured stops at Kave, Main Street Barberton, the Barberton Public Library, and Durbin’s Magic Freeze. Through these experiences, our new educators were able to witness and feel the connectedness of the Barberton community.

Magic Mayhem was yet another incredible time for our students, staff, and community! It was a tough loss for our team, but we will come back stronger!! Everyone had such a great time, from the Barberton Sparkles & BHS Cheer performance, the local vendors and event sponsors!
We are incredibly proud and thankful for our community. GO MAGICS! 🪄
